"Milonga" is the Argentine word for social dance party, where tango music is played and dancers congregate to socialize and dance with one another.

The San Jose Milonga is held on the second Sunday of each month at Dance Boulevard, located near the intersection of Hillsdale Avenue and Camden Avenue in San Jose.

Before the milonga Sue Flanagan of Tango Fantástico, or occasional guest teachers, will lead a group class reviewing steps, combinations, technique and styling. Light refreshments and beverages will be served during the milonga.

Day: Second Sunday of each month
Class Time: 4:45 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. changes in November to 6-7pm
Milonga: 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. changes in November to 7-10:30pm or later

$15 for class and milonga

$10 for milonga only

Attire: Required! We consider it worth dressing up for the evening.
Dance Shoes:
  • Leather or suede soles
  • High heels for ladies (2-3")
