Tango Fantástico's instruction in Argentine tango is geared toward mastering the communication between leader and follower with an emphasis on improvisation that will allow flexibility in the dance. We will explore opportunities to adjust, adapt and modify moves in order to master continuous navigation across the dance floor with interest and imagination. Class series are generally scheduled in weekly one hour increments and continue for up to 8 weeks. The Basic Elements course is best taken in consecutive weeks as fundamental aspects of the dance will compound to develop a traditional foundation. Workshops are condensed sessions, requiring more intense concentration and focus, covering the same material. The Basic Elements workshop is an excellent refresher course on fundamentals. It is highly recommended that students complete at least one series of Basic Elements classes or workshops. The Ready, Set, Tango series where the focus is to combine steps into figures and introduce more complex moves for leader and follower. The Tempo of Tango series is for the more accomplished tango dancer where attention will be given to technique, rhythm, syncopation and styling. | |||||||||||||||

Testimonials
I've been taking classes from Sue for about 6 months. The three words I would use to describe her are patient, persistent and passionate.
She is very patient with beginning with all of her students. I always expect a certain grace and calm about her teaching. She is creatively persistent, in that she is always willing to explain the terms, ideas and nuances of tango in a way that helps everyone make a connection. A significant reason for me continuing to take classes from Sue is her passion and excitement for Argentine Tango.
Be warned, she will get you out to a Milonga (a social dance event), and you will be a better dancer for it!
